As a new residential development, Al Barsha may not be as well known as the Emirates Hills or the Palm, but it is fast becoming a new and in-demand place to live. Al Barsha has two main zones. One zone has a range of villas and landscaped gardens and the second zone, Al Barsha 1, has a number of apartment buildings and includes Mall of the Emirates. Accommodation in Al Barsha is new and conveniently located for those who work in Media City, Internet City or Emaar Business Park. For shopping, Emirates Mall has a Carrefour and Lulu Hypermarket is nearby. There are schools located in Al Barsha, including Dubai American Academy, and there are many places to park. Traffic can be slow near the Greens and Sheik Zayed Road, especially during rush hour, but for the most part, traffic in Al Barsha is not a concern.
